Matches:  This lineage likely arose about 20,000 years ago, expanding as the Ice Age relented and spread widely to the northwest and north-central areas of Europe.  In looking just at similar types via HVR1, there are matches from Lithuania to Ireland.  In the Goodacre study of Shetland there is one person of 503 with this exact motif.  When HVR2 numbers are added, there is only a single match in the large FTDNA database, and this to a person who traces their maternal ancestry to Norway - the probable origin of the maternal lineage of Margaret Halcrow and her mother Barbara Halcrow.
