JOHN F. YOUNG and CHILDREN
John F. "Burrows" Young (1820)
William "Burrows" Young (1848)
Ann Young (1853)
The provenance (chain of custody) of the above three pictures as well as the ones on the previous page pertaining to David P. Young and children is very clear.  David P. Young and his wife Barbara Ann (Young) Young started an album of photographs of themselves, their children, plus his brother John F. and two of the latter's children as well as assorted other family members.  Upon their passing the album descended to their youngest daughter Agnes (Young) Bundy who in turn gave it to her niece Nettie (Young) Bain, with the inscriptions on the photos being in the handwriting of Agnes.  Also, some of the pictures have notations on them written by Gertrude (Young) Patterson who was presented with the album by her eldest sister Nettie.  It was Gertrude who ultimately gave the entire album to the late Dorothy (Hostien) Hutton, a local historian from Caledonia.  Mrs. Hutton allowed DKF to copy the pictures, however many of these went missing in the latter's move from Hagersville to California.  It is fortunate that Pat Kelderman, who is a descendant of David P. Young, also copied all of the photographs and preserved them on a CD.  It is through the kindness of Pat the DKF was able to fill in the gaps and include the photos you see on the this and the previous page.  The husband of Dorothy Hutton, Harris Hutton eventually donated the album and its contents to the Haldimand County Museum and Archives in Cayuga.
