|
When John Young was compelled to leave his farm with the Rebels breathing own his neck, the his farm was auctioned off to one Johannes Seeber on 1 September 1779 by the committee in charge of forfeited lands. After the dust had settled, the house was rebuilt and the farm brought back into production. There is a picture of the home built on the property in a Montgomery County history publication. This author (DKF) observed the well on the property - which was all that was left of the farm in the 1980s. |
