A search of the information in the Ontario Archives by Tom Nelson relating to this parcel of land discovered that in October 1885 John Young and his wife transfered the title to the former's brother Abraham Young (1858-1931) for the sum of $1,950. On 26 November 1887 (registered 29 November) Abraham transfered this land to one John Rider for $1,650. The deed was registered in the Haldimand County Registry Office as Instrument Number 3167. The parcel of 50 acres of land was the N 1/2 of the S 1/2 of Lot 36, Concession 1, Township of North Cayuga, County of Haldimand. See the next page for further information. |
