RESEARCH ARTICLES
What follows are journal
articles that contain information that will better help participants understand
their findings and how they fit into the picture of European settlement.
Some, particularly the latter, contain databases in the form of tables or
figures.
It is noteworthy that
all of the articles recommended below are found in the American Journal of
Human Genetics (AJHG). In order to access the articles, simple
go to www.journals.uchicago.edu/AJHG
with the Volume number, first page number, and year. After publication
articles are available in electronic form for downloading 6 months later.
Since this journal is so pivotal in providing research papers that are useful
for the Shetland Islands mtDNA project it would be a good idea to check the
general site every so often to see what is available.
